The Covenant is a lot like a mix between the Craft and the Lost Boys. The story is incredibly straight forward. It did have an original spin and showed hints of a fully thought out concept but in ways felt dummied down for the mainstream. The style of the film has a familiar feel to it, and with the exception of the mustang exploding and reforming (as shown in the commercial) it didn’t really push any limits. All and all I was entertained, but wouldn’t be very inclined to watch it again. It wasn’t a good movie, yet it wasn’t a bad movie.
