Dr. Seuss’ Horton Hears a Who! has been brought to life, well 3D life anyways, in the new film featuring the voice work of Jim Carrey, Steve Carell, and Seth Rogen. The 3D animation is fantastic. I believe that from now on if any of Dr. Suess’ works are going to be brought to the big screen they should be crafted in 3D. The feel of the books was so well preserved it was inspiring.

The story follows the original story with a little deviation to allow for more character development. For those of you that aren’t up to date on your Dr. Seuss. Horton is an elephant that hears a Who. The Who lives on a little spec that Horton catches on a flower. From that moment on his mission is to save these Who’s from danger, because “a person is a person no matter how small”. Happens to be the moral of the story. Although this doesn’t have as many hidden jokes as say a Shrek movie the film is very entertaining for all ages.

“In my world everyone is a pony, and they all eat rainbows, and poop butterflies.”
