Have you seen Clerks? If not stop reading this, and add Clerks to your Netflix queue. As with any sequel what’s the point of watching them out of order? In fact you should watch the following movies in the following order if you are new to Kevin Smith films; Clerks, Mallrats, Chasing Amy, Dogma, Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back, and then go and see Clerks 2. Jersey Girl isn’t really what we are talking about here.

If you can’t tell I am a huge fan of Clerks and Kevin Smith. Clerks 2 picks up 9 years after Clerks. Dante arrives at the Quick Stop to open the shop only to find that it is burning down. Fast forward one year later… Randal and Dante are working at a Mooby’s Burger Joint. The movie starts off very faithful to the original… but sadly they forgets about the title screens after the first one. Which leads me to my only disappointment of Clerks 2. It is more of a movie, and less of guys talking. Which is fine for any other comedy but you miss it alittle from the style of the orignal. Smith is a master of witty banter, and although the movie had it, it wasn’t the focus. The movie turns out to be a story of friendship and following your own path. From the tastefully portrayed Inter-species Erotica to the war between Lord of the Rings and Star Wars this movie will keep you laughing. A introduction of a new character brought a new twist to the usual back and forth conversations.

I hardly needed to review this movie. If you saw Clerks then you either loved it or hated it. If you loved it then go see Clerks 2, you will love it, I did. If you hated Clerks… umm, I’m sure your kind will throughly enjoy the Devil Wears Prada.
