Call of Duty is the Halo of the Xbox 360. If you want to get a good feel for the game I suggest playing it from beginning to end on normal level. I mean if you’re a little bioch then I would say try the novice level. Call of Duty is an engulfing experience, which brings you into World War II. This is one of the few games out there that can take full advantage of a HDTV as well as surround sound. The visuals are amazing. The Audio is as real and loud as anything you would see in the movies.
The game is very detailed in many aspects. The guns are all real weapons of times. You can use a standard issue rifle, a trusty sidearm, grenades, even a fellow dead soldiers machine gun. My love is the sniper rifle. Why you ask? Good question. There is nothing like marking a head shot from 300 yards on a unsuspecting Nazi. You don’t get to see any brain splatter realism but the sense of accomplishment is there.
The AI in this game is pretty spot on. Nothing above average when compared to games such as F.E.A.R. but don’t think your safe just because you lobbed over a grenade. They may just pick it up and throw it back at you.
The controls are a tad difficult to master. You will definitely utilize all your hand muscles with this game. But once you get accustomed to it will all make sense. Once you’ve given it a run through on normal, pop the level up to Veteran and now you are ready to really enjoy this game for all it has to offer. In my opinion this is the first games that is worth buying an Xbox 360 for.
